About the Event
Upon your arrival there will be an aura cleanse and time to cultivate connection with your partner or others. The paint party will begin with a powerful eye gazing practice to promote intimacy, trust, and closeness.Â
Then you'll be guided to creatively engage your sense of touch and experience the pleasure of paint like never before! Bring a friend or a loved one and release your creativity on your partner with body paint. Â Dont have a partner? Come solo & share a booth with a community member. You have the option to practice painting yourself in front of a mirror or paint a canvas.Â
Either way, enjoy a private booth with complimentary champagne, hors d'oeurves, plant medicine, kombucha, and other refreshments. Â You will also get to enjoy a hand picked line up of poets who will take you on a sensual excursion with their spoken word. Raise your vibrations with a curated music selection of our favorite sounds. Did I mention there will be a burlesque performer, she'll be dancing a divine feminine flow. Be sure to hit the dance floor before you walk out the door. Before the night is over you'll have the opportunity to enter a state of trance through ecstatic dance!
We'll preserve this experience for years to come with a professional photography session for everyone.
*Come dressed with the parts you want to paint exposed or wear layers then, dress down and back up again after we paint.
The best part about of this is all of the funds that raise from this fun event will help the Nonprofit Organization, Â Ahimsa Childbirth Services, raise awareness and funds to help us build capacity. In case you're wondering what we're all about, Ahimsa is a Sanskrit word. It is one of the moral vows of yoga that translates to non-harming. BLACK & BROWN BABIES AND BABY BIRTHERS ARE DYING at an alarming rate compared to other races, US C-section rates are high, and Perinatal mood disorders affect one in every five families. To me, Ahimsa means making sure what we do is in harmony and not in harm to the families we support. New reports show maternal health continues to trend in the wrong direction. I founded ACS to Combat these issues with unconditional pregnancy, postpartum, and partner support, advocacy, and education.
Our vision is to organize, train, and deploy an army of doulas to provide equitable access to high-quality community-based care and support services prenatally to age three. This work will be felt in waves in low income and BIPOC Â (black, indigenous, people of color) communities.
