A Powerful Practice for you and your birth partner

An intentional way to cultivate trust and connection with your birth partner.

Practice this exercise with your birth partner.

Your birth partner can be the baby's parent, a close friend, partner, relative, and even your Doula. This person is there with you during labor and childbirth so trust and intimacy/closeness is important. It may feel weird, awkward, or emotional at first so try to remain patient and willing to be vulnerable with one another

Eye Gazing

This practice is Powerful for bonding and self-exploration. I like eye gazing because it's unconventional, like me & so many of us in the healing arts world. Also, it's accessible and it encourages people like you to explore a new way to connect (with self & others). Follow the steps below and notice what comes up for you. It may feel weird, awkward, or emotional at first so try to remain patient and willing to be vulnerable with one another.

If you and your partner are unable to complete an entire Eye Gazing exercise, try to be conscious of implementing some small changes recommended by Katie Mitchell, a certified sex therapist and relationship specialist.
